Covergirl, I know you have a bad history of whitewashing WOC in your ads, but do I really have to explain why lightening Sofia Vergara beyond recognition in an advertisement for “the clean look” is beyond fucked up?

And then you shamelessly ran this ad in a People Magazine Spanish edition which also featured a story about Vergara, in which we can see clearly that this is not what she looks like (although who knows how inaccurate those pictures might be.) You’re selling “clean” foundation to the Spanish speaking population using a gorgeous Colombian actress while showing everyone that she wasn’t white enough for you. (Not to even mention the daisy imagery being juxtaposed in there as well.)

You’re not even trying to pretend that you’re not racist.

So, I couldn’t wait. I tried as long as I could to wait for a discount code, coupon, Plum District deal, etc. But, I have a bunch of weddings next year…and things are popping up and I just felt I NEEDED to get my life planner ASAP.

And she’s beautiful.

Here are the highlights/changes year over year for those of you also waiting to get your Erin Condren fix:

It’s thinner - like 2/3 the size of last year’s.

This is because now the calendar tabs span two pages and are no longer card stock material - helping to reduce the thickness

The folder comes with a nice ruler - to mark your place and time in the year! And the folder is higher so things won’t fall out as easily (this was always a concern of mine).

Tabs are now laminated - you won’t need to self laminate!

The coiled spine is now metal - more durable

More note pages (with pretty headers) - see upper right of photo

Overall VERY happy but there’s an air bubble on my cover so I’ve requested a reprint. I figure a $50 planner should be perfect at the onset. Oh happy day.

This is the best news. I loved my Erin Condren planner except for the coils that were the worst, the tabs that I had to laminate a’la Meg Burns, with tape and the fact that it was fucking gigantic.

I will definitely be getting the new updated version when that good discount code comes out!

Thank baby Jesus it is thinner this year. But regardless I have had the pink chevron Erin Condren planner and it is my dream come true… 2013 I think I am going to switch up the pattern but love it just as much. And I have a discount card from last year!

it’s nice to see all my hard work and dedication has payed off, 70lbs down i am the healthiest and lightest I’ve ever been. I still have some more weight to lose but this is my progress as of now.

Starting the 17 day diet tomorrow, let’s see if I can last more than 3 days before hallucinating cheeseburgers. But this girl is inspiring :)
